"How to Sight-Sing" Screencast Video
This screencast breaks down the thought process of sight-reading for my students. Music literacy and sight singing are large parts of my choral curriculum that we practice throughout the year. I have found it helpful to have resources available that students can refer to on their own to supplement in-class instruction. This instructional video was created using a combination of three different apps. I generated a musical excerpt in Sight-Reading Factory (our practice app) and inserted it into created slides in Keynote. I then exported those slides into the app ShowMe to create the screencast. |

Demonstration Video - Proper Singing Posture
This is another supplemental resource I created for my students. It allows my students to see what proper posture looks like through demonstration. The video was filmed with a GoPro and was edited and voiced using iMovie. My students can access all of my supplemental videos through our choir YouTube channel where I post instructional and performance videos. |
Trojan Choirs Webpage
My choir website (created in Google Sites) is an online resource for my students and parents. It serves as an informational database as well as a documentation of accomplishments. This website allows me to post announcements, instructional information, rehearsal schedules, practice recordings, and photos of the many things we have done all in one location. It gives my students a sense of pride in their program to have a public avenue in which to display their choral accomplishments. |
