About Me
I grew up in the small, rural farm-town of Troy, Pennsylvania. In 2008, I graduated from Troy Area Senior High School. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Mansfield University in 2012 with a vocal concentration. After graduation, I substitute taught at local school districts until I received my first full-time position as K-12 Choral Music Teacher at Edmeston Central School District in Edmeston, NY. I remained there until 2014 when my dream position opened at my Alma Mater in Troy and I returned home.
At Troy, I serve as the 7-12 Choral Music Teacher and Director of Musical Theater where I direct a Senior High Concert Choir, a Junior High Chorus, and an auditioned Senior High Chamber Choir. I also teach 7th Grade General Music courses, Music Appreciation, and Introduction to Theater courses. As Director of Musical Theater, I also direct and music-direct the spring musical. I received my Masters in Educational Technology through Eduspire partnered with Wilson College as I love incorporating technology as a learning tool in my classroom. On a personal note, I married my college sweethart in 2017 (also a music educator at his Alma Mater) and we live on an organic farm with our three cats, our border collie, chickens, and pigs. |
